Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was married and was both the organist and a Sunday school teacher at this church whilst working as a manager for Freeman, Hardy and Willis in Manchester. He enlisted in 1940 and he died of smallpox. His father, Samuel, died in WW1 and Albert is also commemorated on IWM 2224 (as is his father).
