Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He appears on both the panels and the Roll of Honour at this location although, as he died in 1918, on the latter he is shown as having served. He was the son of the Head of the Zion Congregational School and was living in Huddersfield having left Ripponden. After leaving Heath School in Halifax, he worked for the Metropolitan Asylums Board. He is also commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial.
