Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was the Organ Scholar at Keble College, Oxford, and had almost completed his studies when he enlisted in December 1943. He was killed aboard a landing craft (H 185) and is also commemorated on IWM 2130, 2703 and 2823 as well as the Chatham Naval Memorial.
