This man was mistakenly listed on the Roll twice: once under his true name, James Scott Irving, and again as James Scott Urwin. (This entry under Urwin lists his address as Goodyers Yard; the other entry lists it as 30 Goodyers Yard). Even though both entries relate to the same man, as the Roll lists him twice, we likewise need a Names record for each of those entries.
(N.B. The Roll is known to include numerous errors, including: misspelt names and inaccurate date/place of death, service number/ rank/ military unit etc; several casualties were mistakenly listed on it twice [i.e. under their true name and also the alias under which they served]; several other men were listed on it due to the mistaken belief they had died, whereas they had actually survived).
