Hornshaw and Fowler provide all details. Brother of Eric, also commemorated on this memorial, he was educated at Heath School Halifax and had served from 1939. He died of a sudden illness. Hornshaw and Fowler cite his final regiment as the York and Lancaster but they also cite the Royal Artillery which the CWGC shows.
