CWGC state that he was the son of James and Florence Moran; husband of Ellen Moran, of Ovenden, Halifax (children Terry, Kevin and John Dennis). Hornshaw and Fowler (see References) add that he was working for a firm of boilermakers before he enlisted in 1942 and that he is also listed on IWM 2689.
