Notes
Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a member of both the Sowerby Bridge Labour Party and Sowerby Tennis Club and worked as a Presser in Triangle before the war. They said he died in 'NW Europe' but the CWGC has no record to exactly match him: it does have an Arthur, also aged 21, dying on the 8th not the 18th, and serving in the Somerset Light Infantry who is buried in Germany. Perhaps that is him?
