Also commemorated on war memorial at Holy Trinity, Oxford. However, according to Oxford History (see References) 'Richard joined the Royal Navy on 4 January 1910 and died of malaria in China on 9 July 1913. Presumably he is included on this memorial as he died on active service, even though it was a year before the outbreak of the First World War.'
