Known locally as Eoghann Lachlainn Mhoir. MacQueen was born in Staffin and lived at 2 Stenscholl. He enlisted in the Royal Naval Reserve, and served in Armed Merchant Ships. After the War, he was still serving at Great Yarmouth on 5th May 1919 when he died as a result of his 'service at sea,' (what the roll of honour states).
