Notes
The Memorial indicates that he formerly worked in the Corporation's Farm Department.
CWGC records that Private James Claude Parbles, regimental number 16306, was the son of James and Alice Parbles of 8 Star Road, Peterborough. They record that he died aged 31 on 8/3/1917 (rather than 9/3/1917, as stated on the Corporation Memorial), and that he is buried in grave VIII.A.195 at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery in France.
