Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. He was a member of teh Halifax Model Aeroplane Club and worked in the electricity department of Todmorden Corporation before he enlisted. Vaptured at Singapore, he died of dysentery in Malai Japanese POW camp. He is also commemorated on IWM 2224.
