Hornshaw and Fowler provide the extra details. Educated in Scarborough, Marlborough College and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, he was a partner in the family firm of solicitors. Commissioned in August 1939, the was transferred to Malaya in September 1941 only to be captured by the Japanese. He died in a road accident whilst on a working party.
