The school website (See References) provides the service and death details and also carries biographical details of this man. He died as he declined to use his parachute but instead piloted his Blenheim away from habitation as it crashed. There are also a lectern (IWM 56569) in his name at the school and the villagers of Cutsyke subscribed to a shield for good attendance in his name at their local primary school.
