Hornshaw and Fowler provide the details. He joined the school in 1906 and was a clerk at the Yorkshire Penny Bank and engaged to a Miss Stocks before enlisting in November 1915. He was commissioned in August 1917 and is one of 18 British dead in the German Cemetery, almost certainly having been buried there by a German field hospital.
