Hornshaw and Fowler provide detail. He had joined the school in 1905, worked for a dyer and enlisted in August 1914. He was initially too young to serve abroad so did not go until September 1915. He died of gas poisoning suffered the day before. His Great Grandfather had served in the same regiment at Waterloo.
