How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Two three-light stained glass windows with an accompany cast bronze plaque set between them. The left panel of the left-hand light shows Faith, as represented by a Latin cross and a paten. The middle panel is a figure of St. George, clad in knightly armour, surmounted by a rose, and the words, Fight the good fight underneath. In the right panel Hope is represented by an anchor.
In the left panel of the right-hand light the chalice symbolises Sacrifice. In the centre panel is a figure of St Nicholas surmounted by an anchor, and underneath the text, I will bring my people from the depths of the sea. In the right panel, Love is represented by the Agnus Dei.
The windows were destroyed by bombing in 1943 but the bronze plaque was salvaged and retained for display in the congregations subsequent churches.
