Each party will nominate a Chair and Vice Chair of their respective Twinning Committees. The/ Twinning Committees will be representative of their communities and will operate to their own/ agreed constitution.
Details of the Twinning Arrangement/ The communities of Kirmington and Terbregge wish to have a twinning agreement to commemorate the courageous crews of 1 Group, Royal Air Force Bomber Command who/ selflessly delivered food by air to the starving population of Holland and to those Dutch people/ who suffered deprivation and death under enemy occupation for five years. Lancaster crews/ from 166 Squadron RAF Kirmington (now Humberside Airport) are known to have dropped/ food at Terbregge and these communities wish to unite 70 years after this event.
The purpose of this twinning agreement is to form a lasting bond of friendship and/ understanding between the people of two nations bound together by historical events./ All members of our communities will be encouraged to participate in twinning events but/ particular focus will be aimed at young people who will be given the opportunity to visit another/
country, meet other young people and learn about the wider world.
