Memorial Details
What type of memorial is it?
How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Window by stained glass artist Hugh Easton. The window is framed and lit from behind. It depicts the figure of a naked man standing on the upper portion of a globe and holding aloft a sword, against the background of a yellow sunburst. Above the figure is the shield from the Lloyd's of London coat of arms, and to each side of the sunburst is a sea-lion holding a trident: these are the supporters of the coat of arms. Above the globe and running behind the figure's legs is a rainbow. The years 1914 - 1918 are shown in the bottom left-hand corner of the window and the years 1939 - 1945 at bottom right.

Additional general notes on the memorial
It is possible that the memorial was originally part of a larger stained glass window, the other sections of which were lost when the previous Lloyd's building was demolished.
