How would you describe the memorial and its ornamentation?
Three light stained glass window with tracery lights and associated brass plaque.
The left hand light depicts St David holding a crosier, the centre light depicts St George as a soldier in armour with sword and shield, and the left light St Andrew, each of these figures has their name in a scroll behind their shoulders. Across the bottom of all three lights is a dedication to Lewis Conway-Gordon.
The left hand tracery light has the head of Queen Victoria at centre of a Tudor rose and beneath, the motto of the Royal Engineers: Ubique Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt [Everywhere, Where Right and Glory lead].
The right hand tracery light has the coat of arms of the Conway-Gordon family with the motto ANIMO SON ASTUTIA [by courage, not cunning] beneath.
Underneath the window is a rectangular wall mounted brass plaque with a dedicatory inscription.
