Henry Basham Dickinson was High Sheriff of Essex and died at Chappel railway station on 20th September 1918. He appears to have earlier been a Second Lieutenant in the Loyal Suffolk Regiment. He left £67,229 gross and £35, 236 net so seems possible he left a bequest for the window.
