Chester Cathedral Cloisters - Captain E S Heron

Inscription beneath a wreath containing an image of the Nativity in the first light of a four-light stained glass window, which depicts another part of the Christmas story in the fourth light - the slaughter of The Innocents. In between are depicted St Stephen and St John the Evangelist.
In the 1920s the 34 windows around the Cathedral Cloisters were glazed in stained glass with images depicting the Church’s Calendar. Of the 130 lights about a quarter are WW1 Memorials.
